TCA OBSERVES NATIONAL MOURNING DAY August 15, 2018

The Carter Academy School & College (TCA) observed National Mourning Day on Wednesday (August 15, 2018), marking the 43rd anniversary of the martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The national flags were lowered to half-mast on this day.

The program began with a discussion session at 11.00 AM in the TCA auditorium. Md. Taitul Islam, Principal of the academy presided over the program while senior faculty member Makhan Chandra Biswas was the presenter. The faculty members and students also spoke at this program about the tragedy that occurred on 15th August, 1975, in which Bangabandhu and most of his family members were killed.

The program followed by a milad-mahfil and prayers seeking eternal peace of departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of that day. Faculty member Mosharuf Hossain conducted Munajat after the milad-mahfil. Prayers were also done for the country’s continued peace, progress and prosperity. Faculty members, staff, students of TCA, teachers and students of MAF Primary School were also present on the program.
